We collected 1,619 pairs of shoes!!  Thank you!!!

Let’s wear out poverty – by donating shoes!

Check here for updates on reaching our goal – we’ll plan to post updates each Tuesday during Lent.

Starting Ash Wednesday, we’ll be collecting shoes to donate to Soles4Souls (we’ll post updates on this page).

Our kick-off event was on Wednesday, February 17 with a live prayer collaboration with St Elizabeth Seton Elementary School. In a symbolic gesture which represents the lives lost due to COVID-19, students brought forward donated shoes and left them at the altar. See photos below.  Special thanks to SES staff & students for joining us in prayer; Dcn John Osnes for leading us in prayer; Judy Zetah for assisting with sprinkling of ashes; Grace Weaver for singing so many verses of Stabat Mater; and Holly Baughman for all the technical support on livestreaming!

Thank you to Karen & Brett with Real Presence Radio for featuring Soles4Souls on their live broadcast this morning (February 23) . . . the conversation will be re-broadcast on RPR Saturday morning (February 27).

The shoe drive will continue through Lent. Shoes collected will be sent to Soles4Souls for distribution around the country/world. The goal is to collect 25,000 shoes!
