Our

MISSION & VISION

At Terra Sancta, we’re deeply committed to maximizing the gift of our ministry and the strengths of our unique team. We strive to celebrate every talent that each team member has been given and to find roles that allow each of us to shine the light of Christ.

Though we each come from different backgrounds and experiences, we’re drawn to the ministry of Terra Sancta by the common thread of providing a deep, prayerful experience for our guests.

OUR WHY: We exist to prayerfully serve our guests and each other so that we will experience a deeper and more meaningful encounter with Jesus Christ and one another.

A word from

MAUREEN “REENY” WILSON

OUR DIRECTOR

I am blessed to serve as the director of Terra Sancta Retreat Center.  Hired in the fall of 2011 as renovations were coming to an end, I have been involved with the retreat center since we hosted our first retreat in January of 2012.  After spending almost 25 years working in higher education, I am grateful the Lord called me here to this ministry.  Through my work at Terra Sancta, I am able to fully employ the gifts God has given me.  I firmly believe the Lord brought me here to best utilize my gift of being strategic to maximize use of this wonderful gift given to our diocese.  The growing demands on space and resources as diocesan programming expands to meet the needs of God’s people means the retreat center often functions at capacity, sometimes beyond our capacity.  Seeing the big picture, while also paying attention to the details, is necessary to make this happen.  It has been and continues to be absolute gift to help others nurture their strengths as we strive to serve the Lord and complete the tasks at hand.  Knowing that hope in the Lord will renew our strength, we will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint (Isaiah 40:31).
