Retreat Center Director Hired

Maureen

October 11, Maureen “Reeny” Wilson, Rapid City, became the director of the diocesan retreat center at Terra Sancta on the western edge of Rapid City. She will attend all meetings that will impact the retreat center during these final few months before renovations are completed. After it opens, she will organize and supervise the operation of the center and market it to the parishes.

Wilson is a parishioner at Our Lady of the Black Hills Church, Piedmont.

Area residents may know her as the Director of Residence Life/Surbeck Center and Student Conduct Administrator at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City.

“I am pleased that we have Maureen. She is an energetic person who is eager to begin this process,” said Bishop Robert D. Gruss. “I am just as excited about having this retreat center in the diocese. It will be good for everyone and will provide great opportunities for many, many people to encounter the Lord, who will strengthen them, and thereby strengthen their families and communities. This is an exciting time for the Diocese of Rapid City.”
